To the Hon Mayor & Cit Council of Seattle Wash August 17, 1895 Your petitioner the undersigned represents that heis the owner of a building near the corner of Main St & Rail Road Avenue. That he finds it necessary to movehis buidling on account of the filling in of Tide Flats. That there is a vacant space in the Street at the S W Corner of Main St & Rail Road Avenue adjoining to the LongShore Men's building. Your petitioner asks that he may be given the priviledge of moving said building onto this vacant space He agrees to put in permanent pilings & chipping & to remove said building at the request of City proper notice being given him. (near Commercial) beteween Rail Road Avenue and Commercial Street. Said yard is now occuplying the North side of Jackson Street, which is planked thus forcing the heavy teaming to the South side where there is no planking. In all respects the above stone yard is a nuisance and we ask your honorable body to have it removed to the limits of private property as the interests of said yard is in several buildings on adjacent property.
