5th Finished weeding Lot on Branch Laying by corn big middle Barn left hand Path thro field. Weather very cool & we are sitting by fire This morning we begin to Hall up our wheat - etc. little cloudy & like for Rain in evening, Halled up 4 Loads by 12 & 4 after
6th Laying by corn, sent to millwith cart this morning 1 Barrel corn. nights & morning cool. weeding Lot Tobacco this morning Plowed & Hilled cotton, Halling wheat again
7. went to Mrs Colemans to see Harriet & then on to Meeting at Bro. Plunket did not come Prayer meetinggave negroes Holiday from 12 oclock
8 Raining a little, Bro. Plunket came here on his way to meeting, I say at home & CateHenry sick not quite done weeding down our Tobacco In the Evening Rained hard before & after my wife etc returned from meeting & at nightagain fine growing weather - at this time —
9th Hilling up little new ground Toba. Treading out a floor wheat this day ground quite wet - - cloudy morning
10 Rained hard last night replanted second yrs big fresh ground Raining this morning. Halling up new ground If it stops raining on new ground being too wet we have not finished laying by our corn yet.
11 Plowing corn & Hilling up big new ground Henry runing boards this morning, Jacob gone to mill 1½ Bus new wheat - &
12 Halling up wheat waggon & cart Did not get done good day —
13 Sent Jacob to Mill 1½ wheat for common use. Cutting oats, Ennis here from Mr. Panillos

1849 July 13th weather fair & warm Finished laying by corn 11th except a little on the Spring sprang branch
14 yesterday we cut oats Had Mr Pannills Ennis, did not get done this morning Halling up wheat Fems hid - Halling up our wheat & Halling up sweet Potatoes by Carriage Weather warm & clear fine time indeed for crops, Finished Hilling sweet Potatoes
15 Very cool windy weather went to see Mr. Angel to day carried him the contribution sent by the church $4.12½ ½ Bbl & 3 Bushels wheat
16 Weeding Tobacco Finishing in Lot. Henry & Lila Plowing fresh ground Tobacco. Jacob started to school again
17. Hilling up Big new ground Tobacco Finished little one this morning. Plowing second yrs land Tobacco & will get done that this morning. working pickling cucumbers going to Plow small corn on Branch & Finished laying by Plowing Lots of Tobacco - It has been cool nights & mornings ever since last Saturday 14th. ,-

19 carried waggon to shop got 2 Horses shod Hilling upseveral out S. S. M. Housenew ground - cloudy & like for Rain
