Dec 6th Cutting Small growth in new ground went to Mr. Pannills for Mrs Hunt
Dec 7th. Sent Henry to mill 1 Bbl corn 1 Large Log for weather boarding & Bag cotton weighing 47 lb cutting logs to Day for Stable — etc etc etc
8 Raking leaves fixing straw Racks cutting in new ground put spts Turpentine on Hogs
9th rainy day & cool ——
10 - Halling wood ½ day for Mr Neal cutting in newground cloudy & cool Tobacco ½ daystriping
12. cutting Halling up logs for Stable
12. Malissa child a Boy Born about 8 ocl =ock in morning Raised Stable to day & laid floor in cutting House very cold cloudy & like for snow or Rain
13. Fed started to Mrs Hunts to make shoes grubing & Halling wood from new ground cart & waggon — still cloudy & like for snow
14 striping Tobacco in middle Barn Halled out 2 Loads straw. cloudy & like for Rain —cloudy & moderate striped yesterday & to day 86 sticks Lugs & 45 of short Tobacco —

30th aprl 1852 Planted Snaps Red & White below new ground left side next to House of [drian?] down below planted the white ones & on the brcbranch Simblings Pumpkins etc- Rice Beans in fresh ground this side of Orchard - weather drying & windy
May 1st Thundering & Raining some this morning Planted Peas on Branch & then to Planting Corn & finish, & Plant greens Pepper etc etc If it does not Rain any more yesterday Doct Thompson came to See Lila Fanny White went home yesterday John Neale has been here 4 days & has not come here yet this morning – Have hade 22 Young Lambs 19 living 2 Young Calves & Hester had a Horse Colt the 22nd day of april called magnus1852, 3 feet 2 Inches High
1st May, Hester etc = warm & Pleasant - Planted Peas on Branch this morning Finished planting Corn Planted Greens etc -
2nd I am going to John D Hunts this day
3rd Beding cotton ground Halling wood & cleaning up in new ground =
4th Raking Halling etc out of new ground & burning Logs Heaps etc etc – & bad off Lila yet sick about a week ago She miscarried Began to colter in new ground to day at 12 oclock with steers Balance raking burning etc Cool & dry to day
5. Started 2 colters in new ground minding up Log heaps finishing raking etc alse sick 1 day quite cool & favourable Coltering
6 Coltering again, Jordan Plowing in Tobacco Loton Branch Balance Hilling in fresh ground in evening quite Cool yet of nights let Mrs Crews have collared Plants, I took Some Pills myself

1854 aprl 28 Mr A. Crews Dr to number of days I let him have a Horse 1 day Horse plowing nearly 1 day - 0.18 ½ Do 1st May 1854 - - - 0.13
this summer 1854 every thing is very high & scarce havewe have given to Mrs Crews 4 lbs coffee Mr Fisher blend 4 lbs coffee & to Mrs Betsy Kelley 4 lbs coffee we have Plowed for Mr Neal ½ day for Mr Crews 2 Horses & Plows 1 day he paid the Boys plowing & I found Horses & all cut Crews wheat etc etc
Novr & Decr 1854 Stacks Halled Sometime ago& Divided 8 Logs Halled 2 Logs yesterday to saw mill yates
27 Halled 3 Logs to day 2 Large 1 smallerones
Dec 6 Halled 2 Logs & Carrd stone in morning 1 log for Railing 1 for sheeting In evening Card 2 more 1 for squared edged plant & 1 for Hhd staves
Decr 16-1854 Halled 2 more Large Logs to yates Saw mill 1 for Paling, one for weather boarding Begun to Plow this morning cleaning out drian] on Branch Cutting in new ground nearly done cutting little growth etc - cloudy & likeRainfor
25th 25th Sent 1 Log to Yates for Sheeting. 14 feet
Feby 16th Sent another for Hhd staves 9½ ft
