A good day. Had a shower a bout dark. Carrie was afraid that we would have a storm and come down here with all the little children. It did not rain long so Reese and Hazel and Carrie and Vera went home. Paul and Roy staid all night.

Ben and Josie and Henry and Mr Owen and Marvin went to Altavista to see a show to night. Josie and I washed a big washing this morning.

This evening Ben carried Henry Edna and I to White Falls to fish.

To night Ben and Josie and Henry and Owen and Marvin are all gone to Altavista to see a show. Hope they may enjoy it.

A good day. Mr Owen and wife went to Strait Stone. Ben went to Gretna to meet the teacher. She did not come. Ben said that he saw Tenia Brumfield.

Ben and family went to see Lucuis Gravley this evening.

Mrs Daulton come here this morning and got some apples to can.

I went to see Carrie a while this evening.

Marvin went to Altavista to day.

A good day. There was a killing frost this morning. Ben worked on Nat Woodings car.

Nat come tonight and got his car. Ben went to Altavista this evening to see about getting some lumber a bout Mr Owens house.

The rest of us and Owen and two of his children helped to strip tobacco.

They put some tobacco in the pit to night.

Kate and Irvin Harvey come and got a few apples to day.

A cloudy day and a little rain here. Ben just got in from Altavista. Says that it rained hard there. He went for a load of lumber. The rest of us stripped tobacco all day. We finished a curing for Mr Owen and commenced one for Paul.

Heard today that Doris Brumfield broke her arm yesterday. I am so sorry for her and her mother. Would go to see her if it wont for there is so much sickness a bout.

Heard to day that Mr Charles Rorrer was buried to day. He was a soldier in the Civil War.

Carlton Trent carried the mail yesterday and to day.

A good day.

We got up this morning at two oclock. The men folks fed. Josie and I got breakfast and they eat and got off to Gretna with two loads of tobacco. There was so much tobacco at Gretna they could not sell.

They got home nine oclock at night. Josie got dinner then went to Marvins and stayed with Carries children while Marvin and Carrie went to Altavista. Carrie had some work done on her teeth.

I picked some dried beans. To night Josie and I shelled two buckets full. Before they were shelled Kate Harvey come a few minutes. She wanted to see Ben.
