20 went to Store to day to Adams & Ward Finished Coltering over new ground about finished breaking up corn ground listing p^s this way in fresh ground for Corn will begin to Plant corn this evening at old House place at Stony point,

21nd Expect to uncover & Pick Plant Bed above House this mooring, then planting Corn again at stony pint etc Harrowing & listing in ^{fresh ground}

8th Sent to Saw & Griss mill 4 Bus corn for meal & 1 Log for Pailings got 4 Bus meal, Plowing for Corn Burnt Plant Bed on Road & sewed it this week p^t not burnt, but Guanoed, malling wood, cleaning up in corn field made 2 Bridges to day - Planted Irish Potatoes to day & Goard Seed, etc Covered all our Plant Beds yesterday Mr W^m Dews Died this day soon in morning & Buried on Sunday the 9th March 1856

10th sent up to Fannies to day ^{she rented the Kitchen} Peg moved there to him as long as they entirely agree @ $1.00 – Plowing for Corn Grubbing up Rushes on Ditch malling wood in new ground

21st went to Court & fix & Sent James McCullocks Dec^d Bond Due Jer. McCullocks Dec^d Est to AV McKee Troy m^o to Collect for $420 due 1st March 1840 — Plowing on Branch & Coltering & Hilling in new ground Sandy Plowing at Stony point for Corn In evening & about Rained & Snowed Smartly & quite a cold day Clem getting better Kitty & Jerry Smith Still sick Fannie [water stain] a day or Two ago.

22nd Henry gone to Mill ^{1 Bushel Corn} Replanting Corn on Branch & Weeding Corn on Johns’ Branch etc Cool & dry Jordan sick again Buck sick Doct has been here about 11 times in all

23rd Coltering & weeding Corn Plowed scattered manure on Lot back of Garden Plowed & worked Irish & Sweet Potatoes etc Jordan & Abram sick Doct has been here Some 12 or 13 times to ^{see them in all} I am sick taken this morning Swimming in my head & cant stand up all day Took [water stain] does Colomel etc and this 24th day I feel rather better my head is clear and I can stand & walk about Cool morning
