At a meeting of the citizens signed to the accompanying paper. held at the office of the Western Mill Co..

D. T. Denny was chosen chairman

J. Frankland chosen Secretary

Forty five persons signified their willingness, to join the company.

Wm M. Jones was chosen foreman

Motion made and seconded that the undersigned now being organized as a Fire company respectfully petition the honorable City Council to cause to be located at some convenient place near Lake Union a Fire Engine and Hose Cart.

beg to report that the Fire Warden be instructed to turn over to the Lake Union Fire Co. the Hand Fire Engine, Hose and Hose Cart now in charge of Messr. Stetson & Post.
