133 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Jan 7 1887 Be it remembered that on this 7th day of January 1887 the CommonCouncil of theCity of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to law; the following Officers are present to wit: Mayor W H Shoudy and Councilmen J Furth, Jos Green, T D Hinckley, T W Lake, C F Reitze and R Russell The following proceedings were had to wit: The minutes of the previous meetings were read & approved Petition etc Petition of Frank A Pontius et al asking that the Council reconsider their action in regard to the Seventh Street sidewalk as the petitioners contemplate asking the Counil to grade siad Seventh Street & build sidewalks. On motion the petition is granted. Petition of Walter Harmon et al to raise the side walk on the East side of Third Street between University and Union Streets to a level with the grade Referrred to Street Committee Petition of W B Benjamin et al for Street Crossing on Madison Street opposite the residences of F Kindling & W B Benjamin Referred to Street Committee. Petitionof James McNaught et al for a Street crossing on Pike Street West Side of Fourth Street Referred to Street Committee. Petition of L B Andrews for a sidewalk on Madison St from Third Street easterly a distance of 136 feet to a connection with the sidewalk already built and in use from that point. Referred to Street Committee
