A good day. The men folks finished cutting a house of tobacco. Board? and Tennie? Dews helped them.

Josie got dinner. Lizzie Bennett come home this morning. Denia come this evening. Mrs Edmons gave us some peaches today. We pealed and made pickle and canned them. There was enough to do a lot of good.

A rainy day most of the time. Ben & Jim & Owen finished cutting a house of tobacco. John & Edwin work on the barn.

Josie & I got dinner. I caned a few tomatoes. I went to Marvins this evening. Mollie Reynols gave us some peaches. Paul Bennett went after them.

I helped Carrie peel her fruit & then helped Josie peel hers.

A good day. Ben & Jim worked on the tobacco all day. Owen has a barn full that they are curing.

Josie went to Jim Powers to day. Henry & Franklin went with her. Edna staid with me until dinner. Then she went to Marvins and staid all the evening. I made a few pear preserves.

Prince the horse has been sick all day. He got to some wheat and eat two much. Heard that one of the Lees horses got its leg broke yesterday and they killed him. I am very sorry a bout it.

Josie got peaches & damsons to preserve and can. Guess we will be very busy tomorrow but we are that a most every day.

A good morning. Rain tonight. Jim and Ben & Henry suckered tobacco all day except what time they worked over the sick horse. We hope he is some better tonight.

Josie and I have bin very busy all day. Josie made preserves & jellie of the damsons that she got from Powers. We made a pie of part of the peaches that she got yesterday and caned the rest of them.

Jack Harvey come over here a while to day. While he was here Miss Alice Wooding and Miss Annie Carter come a few minutes. We cut a fine water mellon while they were here. Julia Fergerson went back to Portsmouth. Julia did not come to see us while she was at home. Marvin and Carrie went to the baptizing this morning.

A good day. The men folks moved some tobacco & cut some for Mr. Owen.

Jim & Ben will stay at the barn tonight. Henry is with Jim now. Edna is bad off with colde. Carries baby is not well.

Josie got dinner with a little help. Nellie caned some tomatoes this morning. This evening she went to Mr. Woodings and got some grapes. Miss Willie Wooding & Miss Annie Carter come with her home on a buggy.

I went to George Blairs. Lottie Craddock & her little baby is over there. Miss Alice Hubbard & Ada Hutcherson and Susie Hutcherson was there. They had water mellons & peaches and grapes.
