A good day. Ben & Owen moved tobacco all the morning. This evening they pulled leaves in Bens tobacco. Tonight they will stay with Owens tobacco. Jim has bin at the barns all day.
Josie sewed some this morning. This evening she went to Marvins. Today is Paul Smiths birthday. He is seven years olde.
This evening I went to George Blairs. Isla & Cordie was at home. Denia was at Ren Worshams. Beatris & Gladis Owen was there. The girls gave us some peaches & mellons. They were as nice to us as they could be.
Marvin was stripping tobacco but it dried out so he quit. Ben & Marvin has gone to Strait Stone to night.

Tuesday, September 16, 1919
A good day. Ben & Jim and Owen cut corn all day. Josie & I peeled some peaches and made preserves. We had snaps for dinner, the last that we will get this year without it rains very soon.
Josie sewed some this evening and gathered some peas. We have finished shelling them tonight. I went and dug some potatoes & washed them.
Mr John Baily and Miss Angle was here this evening. They were going a round a bout the schools. They did not see Ben.
Edna got my book & pen and ink for me tonight.

Sunday, June 18, 1922
A good day. We had a good shower last night. We all staid at home all day except Henry. He went to Johnson Reynols for a basket of peches Earl & Lizzie Bennett come by to see Josie a while. Posie Reynols & Marvin Smith com a few minutes at night.
I got most of the dinner. I cooked cabbage & potatoes and beets & beef. We all enjoyed the beef. Carrie & the kids was at Mollies to night. Wish I could see them.
Mollie & Julia come from Norf. today. I want to see them bad.

Thursday, August 23, 1923
A cloudy day until late. This evening it cleared a way. It has bin colde all day. We have had a fire all day. I peeled a lot of peaches and Carrie preserved them. She caned some tomatoes this evening. Lee Brumfield staid here a gain last night. I was glad for him to be here. The roads was so mudy I was a fraid some thing would happen to him.
I got a letter from Edna this morning. She said that they were all well at home. I am anxious a bout them at home. I want to know how they are getting on.
Tuesday, August 28, 1923
A cloudy day and some rain. Marvin and Hollie and Richards cut a cureing of tobacco. I wish I knowed what they done at home. Carrie made four waists today. I worked button holes in three. I got most of the dinner cooked. Snaps and butter beans and stewed tomatoes. We had peaches and cream. The first I had seen in a long time. Mrs Hollie come this evening with her three children. Roy Smith gathered snaps for tomorrow dinner. I gathered butter beans.
