A good day. The men folks moved some tobacco & cut some for Mr. Owen.
Jim & Ben will stay at the barn tonight. Henry is with Jim now. Edna is bad off with colde. Carries baby is not well.
Josie got dinner with a little help. Nellie caned some tomatoes this morning. This evening she went to Mr. Woodings and got some grapes. Miss Willie Wooding & Miss Annie Carter come with her home on a buggy.
I went to George Blairs. Lottie Craddock & her little baby is over there. Miss Alice Hubbard & Ada Hutcherson and Susie Hutcherson was there. They had water mellons & peaches and grapes.

A good day. Some frost this morning. We all staid at home except the children. Henry went to Johnson Reynolds's. Edna & Franklin went to Uncle Marvins. Mr Hutcherson & Ada went to see Carrie this evening. Kate Harvey come to see us this evening.
Mr & Mrs Power come to see Ben & Josie to day.
I got dinner. Had chicken and salmon, pickle & preserves, tomatoes and pies.
I should not write such small things but have nothing else to write.

Monday September 12, 1921
A good day. Ben hauled wood all day. Jim fired tobacco. Josie and I went to pick peas this morning. Mabel was not satisfied so Josie had to quit and bring Mabel home.
I staid until dinner and picked what I could. Josie picked some this evening. I went to George Blairs. Nettie Hendrickes was there. Miss Alice Hubbard and Ada Hutcherson come a while.
School at Renan commenced to day. I do hope that we can have a good school this time. Ben has gone possum hunting to night.

Friday, June 16, 1922
A good day we need rain bad. Ben & Jim plowed in the corn and Henry thinned corn all day.
Mrs. Car & Josie strung snaps Mrs. Trent & I scraped the potatos. I baked a pudding. This evening Mrs Hutcherson & Ada Hutcherson come and brought Josie some light rolls hot and some apples. Grace Vale come and picked berries. I went with them to the field.
Hattie bought four gallons of berries. There has bin the most dew berries that I ever saw.
I worked in Franklins foot this morning.
