To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the City of Seattle We, the undersigned, owners of the rpoperty hereinafter described, respectfully petition your Honorable body to create and establish a license district to include the following described property, to wit: The property commencing on the northerly line of Madison Avenue, in John J McGilvra's third Addition to the city of Seattle, a point where the East line of Laurel Shade Avenue, extended, crosses said Northerly line of said Madison Avenue, thence North 73.6 feet, thence East 72.5 feet and thence Southwesterly 103.2 feet to the plce of beginning; and also the property bounded on the Westerly side by Laurel Street, on the Southerly side by Granada Avenue produced and extended to deep water in Lake Washington, and on the avenue separating Block 13 and Block 24 of John J McGilvra's Third Addition to the City of Seattle; the description including Block 12 and 13 and Blocks B and C, extending to deep water in Lake Washington, all in John J McGilvra's Third Addition to the City of Seattle. To the Hon. House of Delegates and Board of Aldermen of the City of Seattle Wash.

The undersigned lessor of that certain two story frame building being and situate upon the following lot piece and parcel of ground, which is described as follows to wit: commencing on the northerly line of Madison Avenue in John J. McGilvra's Third Addition to the City of Seattle, at a point when the East line of Laurel Shade Avenue, extended crosses said Northerly line of said Madison Avenue, then North 73.6 feet, then East 72.0 feet, then Northeasterly 103.2 feet to the place of beginning, begs leave to [present?] to your Honorable Bodies:

1st. That he has established upon said premises above described a [institution?] that the same is at a place which is now and will continue for a long time to be a popular resort for the people of this city. That at that point thousands of persons congregate daily. That more persons visit this point than at any other of the resort in the city.

2nd. That there is no license district for the sale of spintous or malt liquors established at this point or at any point along the western shore of Lake Washington your petitioner prays.
