A cloudy day. No rain.

Ben went to Cedar Forest this morning to meet Josie. She staid at Altavista last night on her way from W Va. I think she had a good time and was glad to get home. The children was so glad to see her and all the rest of us was glad. There has not bin much traveling as the roads is so bad.

I went to Marvins a few minutes this evening. Carrie was complaining of the head ache. Hope she will be well soon.

A cloudy day most all day. Mr Owen plowed most of the Jim & Ben hauled straw and [?] Jims potato patch then worked on the tobacco land. Jim and I planted some onions this evening.

Josie got dinner--most of it. Denia & Corrdie come this evening. Josie and Cordie ordered some flower seed & bulbs. Carrie and the children come this evening. Jim Emerson passed going down the way.

Ben has a bad colde & is very much complaining.

A good day. Finish planted corn and commence putting in ferterlizer for tobacco.

Kate Harvey come here a little while.

My Jersey cow died to day. I am very sorry but am glad it is no worse.

Have not seen any of Marvins people to day. All ways mis them if I dont see any of them.

Franklin and Edna is both complaining this evening. I hope they will get well soon.

Josie has had the tooth ache.

A cloudy day and raining tonight. The men folks cant do any thing much.

Josie sowed some this morning. This evening she went to see Mrs. Edmons & Miss Alice Wooding. Did not see Miss Alice as they dont let any one go in to see her. I hope that they both may soon be better.

I got a letter from Julia Fergerson this evening. Was glad to hear from her. I wrote John Brumfield a letter today.

Paul Bennett is very much complaining to day. Jim Brumfield carried some rye to Charley Hutcherson for him to grind. Walked and carried it rather than hitch a horse to a buggy.

A rainy morning and it is raining to night. Did not rain all day but the most of it.

Jim carried Nellie to Gretna this morning.

Josie got dinner. To day she is complaining is hardly able to go.

The children and I went to Marvins. Alma Bennett was makeing Carrie a dress.

Josie got early supper. Jim did not get any dinner today.
