To the Honorable Board of Public Works and City Council
Gentlemen:
Referring to a former petition of the Seattle Seminary and others for a roadway and walk from Fremont to said seminary, your petitioners now respectfully represent that inasmuch as they understand that their original petition was refused because of the great expense; to wit $400.00 required for construction of roadway. They do now offer to do all other work on said roadway except to an amount of $100.00, that is to say, as to attach to the item of $300 on condition your honorable body grant $100.00 for roadway and $75.00 for foot path. We believe this offer to be all that can be asked. The necessity for this improvement is urgent and will be a public benefit as clearly shown in our original petition. And your petitioners will ever pray. The Seattle Seminary By H.H. Pease, Treas
