Gentlemen: Your special committee to whom was referred the communication of the mayor relating to the construction of a Fire Boat for this city beg to report that we have considered the matter fully and would reccomend that the plans for such a boat be secured at once and contract for the construction. be let at the earliest possible moment. Such plans can be secured at a cost of 3 & 1/2 per cent on the cost which we estimate to be about $35,000. These plans would be furnished by a celebrated naval architect who has prepared.
