150 Committee on Water Thad Osgood, and A A Hepler: Committee onFinance: Thad Osgood, C S Chase and C Cameron Committee on Streets and Alleys, C Cameron and A A Hepler: Committee on Lights, Thad Osgood and D C Brown: Committee on Buildings and Wharves, C Cameron and D C Brown: W S McCurley, C N Groat, and J A Kelso filed their oath of Office: On motion & 2d the Attorney was instructed to prepare an Ordinance creating a Salary fund, and report the same at our next meeting: On motion Marshal was instructed to look up the leakage of water and have owners to repair the same. On motion the Attorney was instructed to prepare an Amendment to the Ordinance No 51 So that the Bond of the Treasurer shall read Fifteen Hundred Dollars instead of Twenty Five Hundred Dollars. Bill of O P Askarn in the sum of $5.00 for medical services on Scarlet Fever cases read and on motion &2d was ordered paid out of General Fund and a Warrant ordered for the same. On motion Street Committe was instructed ascertain cost of layina a walk on Winston Street between Ferdinand and Angeline and report at Saturday evening meeting; Also examine Rainier Ave and report needs of same:

152 Columbia Wash Feb 6th 1/97 Adjourned meeting of the Town council of the Town of Columbia: Mayor C F Reeves presiding; meeting called to order Roll Called and following answered to their names. Osgood, Cameron & Chase councilmen and J A Kelso Clerk. reading of minutes postponed: Street Committee report cost of walk on Winston Street to be about $20.00 and can find no one to take General Fund Warrants for lumber. Council instruct Committee to proceed to lay walk providing private citizens will donate 1/2 of the amt. Ordinance No 68 An Ordinance to amend section No 10 entitled "An ordinance providing for the contesting of elections inthe Town of Columbia and the proceedings therein": was read, duly considered and on motion was passed by unanimous vote. Ordinance No 69 An Ordinance to amend sec 1 of Ordinance No 51 entitled An Ordinance fixing the Bonds and compensation of Officers of said Town of Coulmbia making Bond of Treasurer $1500 was read, duly considered and on motion was passed by a unanimous vote. Bond of C N Groat Marshal was read and on motion & 2d was accepted and ordered filed. On motion Clerk, Treasurer and Attorney were givin until Feb 11th 1/97 to file their several bonds. 156 On motion Marshal was instructed to notify S & R B Rwy to repair their water pipes and on their refusal to turn the water off untill same was repaired: On motionMarshal was instructed to make out list of persons owing for back water rent and hves the same at the next meeting. Also amount due from each person: On motion Clekr was authorized to draw a warrant on the Emergency fund not to exceed $5.00 to pay balance due of Lumber & etc for laying walk on Winston Street: Bill of A H Hepler for 5 gal Coal Oil and one Broom in the sum of $1.35 was read and on motion a warrant was ordered on the Emergency Fund to pay the same: Bill of C N Groat for 1 cord of wood for $2.50 was read and on motion warrant was ordered on Emergency Fund Ordinance No 70 An ordinance to regulate the running at large of certain animals during certain hours within the Corporate Limitms of the Town of Columbia and prescribing a penalty and a mode for disposing of such animals: was read and duly considered and on motion was read a 2d time and passed by sections. And On motion the ordinance passed as a whole approved and signed by the mayor. On motion the Attorney was instructed to draft an ordinance creating a license for the keeping of dogs. and report the same at next meeting On motion Attorneys was instructed to require Street Warrant in paymt of Judgements against Grade tax except parts an attorney fees which must be paid in each:
