Seattle, Wash June 6th 1895 To the Honorable Board of the City Council; Gentlemen We undersigned submit a petition [?] of time fothe conpletion of the grade of Knight Street between Broadway & Williamson. For several reasons the work could not go on as fast as it was intended & now we meet with other difficulties which compel us to ask your honorable board to grant us at the very least three months more; ie: so as to complete the work when Williamson Str will be graded. This grade was authorizedd last winter under the supervision of the City Engineer Mr. Thomson; at our own cost; the greater part of the work is done, but the remainder would if finished now be a nuisance for us & the neighborhood instead of being an accommodation on account over

Committee & Other Reports Rec'd Report of CIty Surveyor submitting estimate of the cost of constructing sewer in Columbia Street from Twelfth Street to Front Street (3500) read and submitted to the Committee on Sewers & Drainage. Verbal report from Judiciary Committee on petition of R H Thomson for damages account Mill Street grade stating that thus far the Committee had been unable to agree with Mr Thomson & Recommending that procedure as set in the city Charter pertaining to such cases be followed. By request of the Atty for Mr Thomson the matter is referred to the Committee.
