656 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Be it remembered that on this the 3rd day of July 1885 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council chamber pursuant to law. The following officers are present to wit: Geo F Frye, Alfred Snyder, H L Yesler, W A Harrington, W G Latimer, W V Rinehart S D Crockett & Walter Graham Thereupon the following proceedings are had: Petitions Rec'd From the Seattle Gas Light Co for permission to grade Sixth Street fronting Lots 5 & 6 Blk 28 Maynard's in lieu of any future grade assessment fronting said property. Granted From Geo Probst et al for opening Mill Street between 3rd & 9th Streets. Referred to Street Comtee. From James Park et al for a sidewalk on Mill Street. Referred to Street Comtee. Reports & Communications From Board of Fire delegates submitting approved bills and reporting upon other Department matters. From Treasurer on Condition of funds. Ordered Filed From Justice Lyon showing fines collected. Ordered Filed From Chief of Police on arrests. Ordered Filed From Cemetary Commission on Cemetary matters. Ordered Filed From Jailor.
