Still raining hereabout. Walked two miles during let-up in midafternoon.
Woke at 4. Got up, read a portion of guerard’s critical work on Hardy. Back to bed at 5:30; slept till 8:30.
Midmorning; plumber came + fixed pimhole leak in grate connection—good preparation for cold weather predicted to follow rain.
