Wednesday, December 30th

Woke at 4a.m. so dizzy I didn’t dare to try to stand. Lay there, then finally managed to wobble into bathroom; turned Mozart Cassete over, got back in bed, still dizzy, + slept till 8:30. Got up, still duzzy but nothing like as much as before when I fistwoke. High blood pressure? God knows.
XXX ad man came by with softback War for me to sign for his jet pilot son—a fellow Mississippian.
Super D –took blood pressure: 140/80.
Not bad, I think. But why the dizziness?
Library; returned Gatsby cassettes,got Hardy’s Dynists, plus two explications.
Brake fuel cylinder all but empty; got it filled, plus oil + gas. Must check brake fluid frequently in case of leak.
Also bought a 120-min cassette; came home + recorded Glenn Goulds three-record album of Bach’s well-temptered Clavier, Book I. Skipped .
Walked 1.5 mile in 26 mins.; played Shostakovich Piano Quintet.
