fine breese from W at 2 PM all hands on
board at 3 got under way and stood out the
Harbor at 6 past Gardners point at 7
stowed the chains away at 8 Montauck point
bore WNW distance7 miles from which
I take my departure Middle and Latter
parts a strong breese and heavy weather
Employes at stowinga way our vegitables
and sundry other jobs. Nothing more worthy
of remark so ends the day.

The first part of these 24 hours we have a
strong breese from SW with [harey] weather
at 8 PM the weather having a squally
appearence took in the topgallant sails and
reeft the topsail Middle part the wind
from west Employed at brakeing out in
the stearage and putting things to rights
and fitting boats and sundry other jobs
nothing more worthy of remarks so end
