{1}For tetters & ringworms. Take black sope, & almost as
much Ginger in pouder, mix them well together, then
anoint therew th any Tetters or Ringworms every day for
4 or 5 days together, & 'twill certainly heale. p ved.

into a pint of clear water, till it be dissolued & melted,
& w th the water wash ye place, till it be whole. p ved.

{3}Stamp Celandine & lay it to any Tetter or Ringworm
or any other such like called Imsperigo or Spergo, shift=
-ing it twice euery day w th new, for ye space of a fortnight
& 'twill quite destroy them. It will also put away w th ye
like using any black spots w th ye like using thereof. w reso=

{1}To provoke sleep. White Poppy & henbane seed a little
stamped, & tempered w th ye white of an Egge, & laid
to ye forehead p voketh sleep. p ved. often.

{2}Take ye Iuice of henbane, Lettice, plantane, poppy, of
ye Leaves of Mandrake, Ivy, mulberry & hemlock, of
each one dram; of Opium & Ivy-berries of either as
much; stamp the Ivy-berries & ye Opium together;
& mix ye Iuices & them well together; then dip a
spung into ye same, & let it drink it all up, then lay
ye same spunge in ye Sun to dry: afterwards lay ye
