So Monday, I got him
a set links, pin &
clamp and put in
a metal-backed knife,
(which no one will take
away from him.)

I could see his eyes
shine when he
opened the box.
Could you imagine
them shine as they

did six yrs. ago? Well,
they are like that now,
most all the time.

I had hoped he would
write me today or yesterday
that he had them,
but he has not written
a word so far. They won't
let a letter go out unless
it is in just the proper
shape, they tell me. As
soon as he writes, will
send it.

They have a dance next
wk. and all the boys
have pumps for that
& dress shoes for dinner,
but I think his dress shoes
