July 27, 1893

My dear daughter:

Your letter of the 27th
just was received yesterday, also the
express package you sent some time
ago, but I have been so busy to
inform you of it. But I have just
returned from the Newburgh Station,
where Jennie took the 8:25 train for
Kensington. I wrote a week ago telling
him, [?], of her coming and they wrote
and said they would meet her. I
have been kept very busy for the last
two weeks, sewing and getting her
ready. I made the dresses all myself
as nearly as you directed. Their was an
abundance of material, exepting the lace.
Got 1 yard more very nearly like it and I put
that on the sleeves. She was well pleased
with her outfit. She took 8 dresses along.
Archie got her a large telescope (Valise)
and she had that full. She wore the
hat you sent her and did not take any
other with her. I sold some of her out
grown clothes and got her new mitts
& stockings, but it was difficult
