Dear folks:
It is now 2:30 or 2:45 pm and we are down by the boathouse on the lake shore. There is supposed to be a yacht race. I didn't want to come, but everyone else was coming & they wouldn't let me stay alone so I had to come. I haven't seen anything exciting so far. Just now on the car next to us, two girls are siting, [sitting], on the front of it, [[struck text]:illegible]], in their bathing suits while a fellow takes their picture.

Well folks, it is something like 6:30. I have had potatoes, pork (roasted), gravy, tomatoes, lettuce, "dressing," bread and butter

Well, here it is, about four o'clock, Monday. This morning, we went to work & worked for an hour. We ran out of peaches so they sent us home & told us to come back at 1. We did so. I did two boxes of, [Lingo. Biz?], that time. The frees had all been given out. I went & helped several others with their "frees." Then we came home. I made 54 cents. The other day, I made $1.62 (9 boxes, 18 cents).
Yesterday morning, we got up & went

down to the lake for a swim. After that, we came home & Lenora & I got ready & started for S.S., [Sunday School]. By the time we were ready for S.S., [Sunday School], it was too late so we waited for church. Then we went walking into church, (Presby). A girl was there playing the organ & said the preacher was on his vacation & there was no church. So she went with us to the Methodist. There wasn't any more than 2, [illegible], all together.

The sermon wasn't extra good. At least, the preacher looked down at the alter most of the time. I don't know if he was reading it or not.
In the evening, Mable, Mattybell, and I went to C.E. in the Presby. Church, about a dozen & a half there & [glad?].
The leader was a good, [[struck text]:are]]. I forgot what the topic was.
When we quit work this morning, we girls all went down to the lake for a

a swim. I came home about 11 & the other girls came home about 12, just before I came home about 2, June. Before I came home, we took a, [brat?], ride. Then we came to the shore & the girls went, [[struck text]:home]], out again. We all look like, [bets?]. Mattybell is not burnt as, [illegible], as the rest of us. Mable is the worst than Dorthy, then me, (I think), & then Lenora & Matty, last of all, [Gae?], Olive, [and?], that's
