Havign an opportunity, present=
=ing, of writing you, readily embrace it. Imagine
before this, you must have arrived at Carolina & hope
this will find you in good Health. have nothing of
Importance to inform you of unless it be this, that
if you have opportunity of purchasing any old {Barrel}
Beef & Pork very cheap, that you may think will do
tolerably well, with Repacking, for the Markett you
are bound for, would have you purchase it, as it will
Forward your Voyage, & turn as much to our Advan=
=tage, on a reasonable Lay, as New Pork. Have Inclosed
you an order on Mr Henry Snoad Executor to the Estate
of {Colonel} {Benjamin} Payton deceased for £50 us (old Tenor)
he received of Doc Walley Chauncy on my Accomp't
or shall order him in my Letter I herein Inclose you
for him, to pay you the £50 us (old Tenor) & take your
Receipt here for, which if you receive, lay out in some
good Article for the Cargo. Desire you would write
{per} all opportunitys, how you proceed, & exert yourself
as much as you possibly can in disposing of your
Cargo & getting away from Carolina, as your Advan=
=tage, as well as ours, depends greatly hereon, we are
your Friends

We have wrote you already
{per} Post, to which expect an Answer next Post. In w'ch
desired you to ship us 100 {Barrels} Flower, & if you
had disposed of the whole of the wines to ship us, the
neat Proceeds in the same Article, as it would be
greatly to our Advantage, to have it at this Time.
This Therefore waits on you, to begg the Favour of
you to ship us the Flower {per} Mr Cowel the Bearer of
this Letter, who is in a small Schooner bound directly
back for this Place, tho has promised us to give you
the First Offerr for what Flower you have to ship
on our Acco'ts for this Place (in case you have not
already shipt it) or if any of the Wines remain yet
unsold, should be glad you would sell them for the
most you can, to remitt us. We are respectfully
