After school to-day I wheeled over to
see how poor Dr. Morong was. He is sinking
fast. I saw him for a few moments, but
I hardly think he knew me. He lies still
in bed now, hardly moving. His lungs are
affected and he is very weak. The end
is near. How I shall miss him. I came
home by Cottage Farm. Distance 12 1/2 m.
Will Brewster called and staid to dinner.
He has just returned from Trinidad.
His storries were most entertaining.

says that the end will come any minute —
It will be a relief. His bright letters to
me for so long I shall miss. I came
straight home. Distance
