I wheeled round to see Dr. A. Morong, this
morning before school. His Father had passed away
yesterday afternoon at 4.20. The end was
peaceful. I returned again after school and
learned of the arrangements. The funeral will be
to-morrow, Sat. in Woburn, in the Congre-
tional Church at 3 P.M. His wife lies in
Woburn. She lived there in past years. Her
father was a minister there. On the way
home I called at the Herbarium, and told
Dr. Robinson. He will go with he to-morrow.
I have written several friends of the funeral.
Dr. A. Morong will give me a sketch of his father's
early life, and I have writtedn Miss Wiggins
for some facts about his life in Ashland.
I don't know how I hsll make use of them.

at Doyle's and took the 2 P.M. for Woburn. On
the same train were Dr. Goodale and his assistant,
Dr. Robinson, Dr. Kennedy and Mr. J.K. Small,
who came on from New York. Small called at my
house this morning, but I was at school. Then also
went up on the same grain Dr. Arthur Morong, his wife & boy,
