Was much interested in the road-making on
the Back Bay. After school I took a nice
ride to Newton, calling on Effie Lord, then
to Newtonville & home through Watertown,
15 1/2 m. The work going on on Commonwealth
Ave is tremendous. Letters from Bebb,
Ruth & Charlie —

Tires
blown
up to-day.
Clear, cool. Wheeled 12 1/2 m. to-day, going to town
by Cottage Farm & Commonwealth Ave, returing to
the Pope Mfgr Co. where I blew up my tires after
some 223 m. Bought a Spaulding Cyclometer $5, partly
as M's birthday present. I shall enjoy it much.
Called on Aunt Anna. Herb. work this evening.

11 m.
Total 2390 1/2 m.
Fine clear A.M. Cloudy, slight rain in P.M. Wheeled
to school & back. Came home in a little under
25 min. to avoid the shower. Herb. work P.M. &
eveing. Have about every thing cleared up
except mounting a pile of plants which are
all ready. 11 m. to-day. Wheeled to the Sq.
this P.M. to mail off some Carices to Bailey
and some things to Rose.
