Great day. Glorious, clear, not warm, light breeze.
Wheeled to school. At 11.45 4 of us, Legate, Volkmann
Chittenden & I started from the school, on Columbia,
Victor & Imperial and wheeled straight to So.
Framingham, following Beacon St. to Lower Falls,
then Wellesley Hills, Wellesley, Natick, Framingham
Got there at 2.15 P.M. I never saw the country so
beautiful. It was a great treat. After a good
dinner at the Hotel, L. & C. started off for Leomin-
ster, V & I back home. We parted at Chestnut Hill
and I returned through Allston. Home at about
5.15. From the school to Framingham about 21 m.
Distance to-day 46 1/2 m. Beat the record of
45 m. made last May 30th. Some but not
too tired.

Herbarium work most all day. Mounted
100 sheets. See George's bees in the P.M.
It is very interesting to study the de-
tails of a hive. Wheeled to Dr. Robinson's
