Went to Hingham this P.M. to get Ranun-
culus ficaria, but it flowered 2 wks ago.
Beside Mr. Cushing upon whom I called
was unwilling that any body should visit the
place. I did not think him courteous, and
I shall not ask him again. Got home
by 6.15, rather disgusted. Will Dodge
called this evening and we had a nice
time in my Herbarium talking over
science.
