SELF-DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR SELF-DEVELOPMENT GROUPS

(SDG is composed of convicts voluntarily pledged to aid each other in overcoming our mutual failings and solving the many problems which results in our imprisonments. Meetings are conducted at least once a week in groups not exceeding ten members. Therapy is based on open honest discussion in confidence toward genuine redemption.)

The Seven Points

1. WILLING TO TRY to solve personal problems in an honest setting assisted by others of similar purpose.

2. LEARNING TO RELATE rightly with each other and the world as reasonable, responsible persons of good will.

3. BUILDING A USEFUL LIFE structured on faith in God, in self, and in the best hopes of mankind, as expressed in the SELF-DEVELOPMENT GROUP.

4. EARNING SOCIAL RESPECT and respecting society in return on the basis of mutual commitment to the better objectives of the community.

5. LIVING AS POWERS-OF-EXAMPLE toward helping others in trouble whenever and wherever possible.

6. RENEWING COMMITMENT TO SDG, in and out, every four month, and serving the program to the best of one's ability and availability.

7. KEEPING SDG INDEPENDENT of ineffectual programs, yet open to mutual assistance and collaboration with any person or group toward real human advancement.
