2 Dr. says she can be cured from the climate here. as much as I dislike asking for money I do have to put my pride aside again.

Dear Dr. Van Waters,
I rec. your letter & thank you ever so much for the check. Which I rec okay. I started work yesterday Sat. in the Sahara Hotel here. It's one of the largest Hotels in Phoenix. Well know all over the world. We worked 6 days a week 8 hours day. In your feet 8 hours steady. The work is very hard but nice too & I like it. Each woman is a maid to 18 rooms a day. You clean them [clear?] them. Then an inspector excamines them. So as soon as I'm on my feet again I'll send you $10.00 week to pay you back the $50 I loaned from you. The pay is only $40.00 week but in the 18 rms. you clean a day which are double rms & baths you make an

2 average of $40.00 a week in just tips which makes my pay good. My husband likes his job also very much.
It's beautiful here & we all love it down here. Well, today is Easter & I have to work as my day off is Friday so I'll close with a Happy Easter to you & all the family. Hoping you are in much better health. My sincere thanks again for the loan & regards to all the officers.

Linda is much better from mumps only sick once last week. Dr. says she is improving.
