Dear Mrs Van Waters,

Just a few lines to let you know I arrived back safely and wanted to tell you, it was a day I shall not forget. I was so happy to be given the honor of being with you and Dar Van Waters. I shall never forget it. I always wanted to hear our Dr. make a speech and now it seems as though something has been completed I love her dearly, God knows that

Well dear every thing is going along nicely and Im so happy, "thank God and my Dr Van Waters," for helping me to know what it is to live.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay at your home and appreciated it with all my heart. Well dear I am in hopes of coming down on Thanksgiving day. Will close with all my love to you and Dr Van Waters Will you say hello to the house girls and Miss O Keefe.

Just a few lines hoping they find you well and every thing going along nicely. Have you heard from Mother and how is she. You must miss her. Will she stay away very long? How is the two side club.

Well the hurricane just ruined all the pretty trees here, windows broken - so much damage
