Dear Mrs Van Waters,

I hope this finds you in the best of health. I am sending you a clipping from the new york times. Haven't time right now to write it and thought I'd send it before it got to cold or old. How is everyone down there? We are all as good as can be expected here. I hope your class will enjoy reading this piece. There isn't much news. Only it is quite cold up this way now. When will you visit

I know that I'll be thinking of you all at Thanksgiving for there are no freinds like true old friends. Give my regards to Ruth Mabb and wish her a happy Thanksgiving for me. Also all at your house. excuse paper as I am quite busy and stopped for just a minute Best wishes to you and stay as sweet as you are.

Dear Mrs Van Waters,

Here I am again, hope your not tired hearing from me. But I'm happy when I write to you. There isn't much news. Only Dorthy McLeod is gone home. She is the second to leave here. I hope this finds you well and everyone too. I do get sort of lonesome at times. But find something to do to keep busy. I hope that Ruth Mabb had good luck, when she saw the board Thursday
