My dear mrs V.W just a few words to let you know that I dont forget you dear hope all is well with all of yous as for myself I am not what I would like to be but I am here but not what you call happy believe me at times I do wish myself back with all of you's but not in the big house you know what I mean I bet its wonderful at the Hill Top. I hope our dear Dr V.W is getting well day by day because I am age it takes longer to get back to our strength since you get down, now dear I hope have written you to thank you for my birthday gift its sure nice of you to always remember me I don't recall if I did write to thank you dear I dont know what to write because I go no Places other than for a ride or two in a week so you dont get to know any one but let me tell you this I dont like California to much of scandals out here you have to live here to know it you listen to them talk and look at some of them ho mother of God if I known I would have never
