My dear friend just a few lines in answer to your most welcome letter of may 3rd which I am always so happy to hear from you dear Please don't try to do so much you just hurt yourself when you do try to do so much have you forgotten you are normal young so please do take good care of yourself we all need you maybe more now than ever I know that I do need your support and advice more now than I ever did when I was there I miss so many nice officers you come first then the mill offiers that were so kind to me I wonder why I didn't hear from an Mrs Helen and I wrote to her but got no answer from her ho well I can't make her write if she doesn't care to write well I finely got a real nice letter from my margaret ho how I miss her is Ms H Briggs still in the armes I would like to write to her she was nice to me so I like to show them that do appreciate what people do for me I hope you had a nice trip to Vermont and again dear Dr please take easy dont put yourself back in bed you know there others who can do the work but no one can suffer in your place so dear do listen to this old fool your true sincere friend and
