Thursday eve

Well [Luca? Susa?] I got my cherries and good were
they were too, have saved a few for to-morrow=

We have about the same as no strawberrys at all this year, guess
there will be a few peaches but not so many as we had last year -
Frenches people picked 14 qts of beautiful strawberrys the other morning,
but it is so dry every thing is suffering for the want of rain -------

We will endeavour to have breakfast prepared on the 11th of August
for as many of our friends as will take the trouble to come to see us.
And we shall be extremely to see and wait upon all such friends
