side were great pictures of
Gobelin tapestry, while bronze
statues towered high above the
heads of the surging crowd
below. I say crowd but the way
was nowhere blocked and all
the time I saw no act of rude-
ness or indecorum. We passed
out of the end of the building
to the side of the basin where
the sun now near his setting
gilded anew the statue of Liberty
