wind. We were a little sheltered
by the statue of the plow-boy
Below the electric launches
glided with their merry parties
and we seemed in a world
where "the trail of the serpent"
had never been. Pretty soon we
were conscious of "an aching
void which only grub could
fill". So H. went on a prospect-
ing tour. This reminds me
that the effort of living all this
over again has used up my
breakfast pretty thoroughly, so I
must go on a lunch hunt.
