This Division Longstreets was commanded
by Gen Pickett and later by Gen J B Hood
last by Gen Fields
after 7 days fight at Richmond the
34rd battalion and 4th Regt and 5th Regt
was consolidated and formed 5 Regt
and Asbury Coward was appointed its
Col. Col Coward was a good and brave
man loved by all of his men
The 6 Regt and Sharpshooters was recruited
by the conscription act the Brigade
Regt commanded by Col Glover from
Orangeburg, I later by Infantry
of Hamton Legion commanded by Lt
Col Martin Garry who was as brave
as still and kind harted, peace to
his noble ashes
