-hood [neighborhood] except Henry Wallace went to the Sout and has not returned yet his
wife has been very ill for a week or two but I believe she is mending a little
Calebs wife died a short time since and left an infant. this we heard from
his Father who returned lately from there Miss Francis Buchannon was
married week before last to Doct Pots of Missisippi and asked time previous
William Ma Sutton to Mr Reddy (wid(dower) of Georgetown Sidney Jane
Dougharty To George Graves I believe those are all that you know that
have been married lately Mr Boin has gone on the Mays Ville and
bought a house and moved this family last week

We have had very little preaching for some time at Bethel there
has been none aded to the Church since you left here there was
a communion in George town last sabbath unkle Stone and
Palmer attended you know what excellent preaching they heard
O when shall we sit together again under the sound of those precious
voices we have so often heard teaching the sinner the way to happiness
Some of the professors Presbyterians have been excommunicated
and some others will soon want the same handling is expected
I have not seen any of Mr Lynns family lately but heard they were
well Christmas day they dined at Mr Chambers old Mrs Irvine has come
to live with them and they gave their friends a dinner on that day

Ma sends her love to you all and we join her in so doing my brothers and
Sisters are well and would all be glad to see you I do not think there is one
that knows you but loves you in this neighborhood brother Leonard is
from home and I do not know when he expects to come down Intend writing
to S. A. very soon and tell you then what he says

Jim sends his compliments to you all and says he depends on you
as to seeing Patience again he has been once to the old place he says
and was very much distressed as evry thing remined him of you all he wishe
-es [wishes] his wife to look at little Henry often and think of him for that is all
that can keep him constantly in her mind he wants you to you persu -
ade [persuade] My Pally to buy him when the Captain comes and to give love to
Patience and his Grand children and tell them he hopes to see them
