half cup Butter, 1 cup Milk,
4 cups Flour I Teaspoonful Soda
2 ditto Cream of Tartar

Piccalilli
1 peck of sliced green Tomatoes
1 pt chopped Onions
1 do. Vinegar 1 cup mustard
mixed up for table use
2 1/2 ounces each ground cloves
Allspice, mace & pepper
Cook till soft
