Cherry Cake (Refrigerator Cake)
½ cup cherry preserves | ½ cup butter |
1 tbsp. gelatine | 1 cup powdered sugar |
2 tbsp. cold water | 3 eggs, seperated |
1 cup whipping cream | 1 ½ dz. choc. wafers |
then dissolve over hot water. Cream
the butter with ¾ of the sugar
until fluffy, add the well
beaten egg yolks & beat the
entire mixture until it is all
fluffy. Add the gelatine & preserves
combine well. Beat the egg whites
until stiff, add remaining ¼ of
the sugar. Fold into fruit mix-
ture. Fold in ½ of the whipped
cream. Line a mold with chocolate
wafers. Pour mixture into mold.
cover with wafers & let stand
in refrigerator at least 24 hours.
In serving garnish with the
remaining whipped cream. - [[Sears]]
