Lemon Chiffon Pie
1 tbsp. gelatine | ½ tsp. salt |
¼ cup cold water | ¾ cup lemon juice |
4 eggs, separated | 1 tsp. lemon rind |
1 cup sugar |
egg yolks, half of the sugar, salt
lemon juice & rind. Add the
hydrated gelatine & cool. Make a
meringue of the stiffly beaten egg
whites & the remaining half of
the sugar. Carefully fold the
meringue into the custard mix-
ture & pour into a baked pie
shell. Chill.
Red and Gold Whip Dessert
1 pkg. gelatine | 1 cup strawberries |
2 cups pineapple juice | |
2 tbsp. sugar | 1 ¾ cups whipped cream |
juice. Whip, add sugar and
strawberries. Fold in whipped
cream. Place in mold & chill.
