We, The undersigned proposes to deliver, at the Smith River Valley, Reservation on or before first September Forty Head of Beef Cattle, from 3 to 7 years old - at the rate of 4 1/8 cts per pound payment to be made in U.S. Gold Coin, or its equivalent when delivered.

I will contracts to supply the number of live cattle as per advertisement on the Sacramento Union.
The Round Valley Reservation and the Mendocino Reservation at Eight (8) cents per lb net and the Smith River Reservation.
At nince cents & one half 9 1/2 cts per lb I will give the required bonds and security. for the full payment of the contract of awarded [illegible]

Dr. Sir Persuant to your notice in the Sacramento Union for the purchase and delivery of Cattle in Round Valley.
I professe as follows viz-
To deliver 200 head of good milch cows from 3 to 7 years old (each with a young calf) Also 200 head of beef cattle from 3 to 7 years old. Also 200 " of Steers and Heifers two years old Also 200 " of Steers & Heifers one year old at Four dollars & seventy five cents ($4.75) per Hundred pounds payable in U.S. Currency at the time of delivery
