Sir I have a claim in your office, recommended by Supt J Y Mc Duffie for the amount of three & sixty $360.00 dollars. Supt McDuffie was appointed to investigate all claims by Com. Greenwood I presented his letter of recommendation for the payment of my claim to Supt Wentworth if Cala I gave him vouchers for the amount of Three hundred and sixteen dollars ($316.00) he promised to forward the letter and vouchers to your Dept as this claim has been long standing and money that is justly due I hope you will give it a favorable consideration.
