Comm. In. Affs,
Dear Sir,
Your letter of the 25th, November last 1862 has
been received. In answer to which, I have the honor to
State, that I truly regret being under the necessity
of informing the Commisioner of Indian affairz and
also the Second Auditor of the Treasury Department,
that this document to which you call my attention
as being a statement of difference as furnished? me by
the 2nd, Auditor of the Treasury Department [?] date
of November 7th, 1862, has not been received by me,
neither has such a document ever been seen or heard
of in the Post Offices? of Millerton?, If possibly many
[?] [?] of San Francisco, and is new [?]
[?] the paperz of [?] [?] agent Wentworth? you?
looker, [?] to the accumulation of papers in his offices
when [?] in the [?] [?] of his [?].
The miscarry & consequent non-reception of
that document, is a matter that I hear? much to
[?], none we account of the interest of other personz
[?] in my own account,

pertaining to the sebttlement of the accounts of Fresno
