This is to certify that [Jas?] Haight has signed vouchers for quarters Ending 31st Dec 1862 & 30th of March 1863 for $300- for which I am to send him checks from S. Francisco provided the first vouchers have reachd of my office.

Sir Above please find copy of receipt issued by Mr Hanson to Mr Haight an employer on Smiths River Reservation forwarded me by Mr Bryson Supervisor of that Reservation Mr Bryson informs me the vouchers you received by Mr Hanson but that the check or money was [never? [returned?] by Mr Hanson but that Mr Haight is got without his pay for then services. This [of?] possible should be stopped in Mr Hansons account and Mr Haight paid the amounts [illegible] him therefor
