Sir,

I have considered the claim
if J. M. Cammack, for call to furnished
the Indian Department in California
in July and September 1862, which was
the subject of your report of the 8th [illegible].

I am of the opinion that the claim
should be allowed, in the sum of $4,500,
and you are hereby directed to pay the
amount, out of any appreciation applicable
and not exhausted, for the year and
for the purpose for an in which the debt
was contracted. The paper are returned.
