I am in receipt of your favor of the 22d inst -
Mr Geiger who is now in this City; has certified to your account for six months pay at $60 per month ($360) which will be transmitted to the Department with my recommendation for its payment -
The claim for extra pay you send, can not be certified to by Mr Gregor, as it conflicted with his account already [illegible] -
I have understood that you are advocating Mr Douglas claim I hope such is not the case, you are to old a democrat to be found absent from the ranks of this period -

Sir:
I herewith render a memorandum of the account of Joel Lewis, for services rendered on the Nome Cult Indian Farm, as certified to by Late Supt. McDuffie, in 1859, together with the two items of a/c for services during the term of Office of Supt. Agent Drebelbis, and certified toby that office.
At the request of parties interested, I have examined those accounts and find that the servi-ces were faithfully rendered. Mr. Lewis, who [illegible] as farmer and gardner, was faithful, industrial and skillful in the discharge of his duties, and very [illegible] in producing large
